"Jazz on the Strait"
Renowned jazz recording artist Norman Connors and jazz extraordinaire Kim Waters will present a World AIDS Day Benefit Concert on Saturday, December 1, at the California Maritime Academy, 200 Maritime Drive, in Vallejo, CA.
Mr. Connors is a Grammy award winning composer, arranger, and producer of such hits as “You are my Starship” and discoverer of multi acclaimed artists including Phyllis Hyman, Michael Henderson, Jean Carne, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and others.
Joining him will be smooth, jazz saxophonist Kim Waters, a chart topping artist with 13 number one hits and 20 Top 10 hits to his credit. Mr. Connors also will introduce a phenomenal local teen jazz group, "On the One Band," consisting of youth , ages 12 to 15.
